Position Overview: We are seeking a highly structured and detail-oriented R&D Engineer to lead the development of our acoustic systems, as well as contribute to our new product lines. This role is pivotal to our mission of delivering world-class safety solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a solid scientific or engineering background, a strong work ethic, and exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Acoustic System Development:
Lead the design, development, and optimization of acoustic systems for our PASS device.
Conduct research and testing to improve audio-visual alarm performance, ensuring reliability in extreme environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate acoustic systems into wearable devices.
New Product Development:
Drive R&D efforts for firefighter PPE, focusing on thermal insulation, weight reduction, and durability.
Spearhead the design and implementation of RF tracking systems for firefighter and search & rescue applications.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and materials to inform innovation.
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Develop and document structured workflows, testing protocols, and design specifications.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with product design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align technical capabilities with market needs.
Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders, presenting complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet relevant safety and industry standards.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation to uphold product quality and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Acoustics) or a related scientific field.
1+ years of experience in R&D, preferably in acoustics, safety devices, or wearable technologies.
Experience with materials science and RF technologies is a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
